The Dinosaur Who Ate Comets

If you've come here, it's more than likely that you are either a) related to me or b) have come here because of a link from Pint Size Productions. I recently wrote and illustrated a story to give to my son on his second birthday, about a dinosaur who eats comets, and the sociopolitical repercussions such a habit would create. (Or, uh, I just wanted to write a silly story.) It's an idea I've had lingering in the back of my head for a few years now, even before I had a child and a good reason to do it.

Pint Size comes into play because they have a board book print-on-demand service. I know what my kid would do to a regular book, this needed to be a board book. So, after paring down my original 36-page epic to fit into their 16-page format and learning a lot about storyline economy, here we are. A finished book! I feel so accomplished. I'm sure this is exactly what J.K. Rowling felt like after the last Harry Potter book.

Anyway, Pint Size liked my book so much they wanted to put it on their website, and here we are. I'm very flattered! Over the next few days I'll post some of the artwork, maybe put a few pages up. I just wanted to get a post on the page before anyone could see it.
